Flower Bouquets

Our flower stems are pre-cut then wet wrapped prior to collection from the store or delivery. Although you may be tempted to quickly display these beautiful bursts of colour and delightful fragrances, you should make sure you re-cut the stems first. It’s very important that the stems are re-cut at the base, approximately 3-4 cm at an angle of 45° when placing in water within your favourite vase or container. By cutting the bottom of the stems, any foliage below the water will be removed, which avoids water contamination from the breakdown of leaves. This way, you’ll be setting your gorgeous flowers up for success!

  • Recut all stems on an angle, approximately 3-4cm. This will allow for the water to travel up the stem more easily, delivering much-needed sustenance to keep your flowers looking vibrant. 
  • Remove any leaves that will sit below the water line in the vase to avoid contamination of the water due to the breakdown of the leaves. 
  • Keep flowers in a cool place around the house or office and away from draughts.
  • Keep flowers away from extreme heat or next to windows with direct sunlight. 
  • Use a few drops of bleach and a spoonful of sugar as an alternative to flower food preservative.
